Butterflies and their cocoons.
The pieces are glazed with beautiful colours on the inside and has a rough unglazed texture on the outside. Each cup vary slightly in shape and colour, like no butterfly is the same, nor you and me. Because of the unglazed outside the texture will soften more and more with time. The cup will ease up on you, let you in, when you use it.
We are all butterflies, leaving our cocoons. Moving, searching, being. We are magical beings covered in rough armour.
They are simple on the outside, plain almost, but inside hides a playfulness, a wisdom and beauty that can only be learned with time.
